Instagram Stories:- Increase your Followers and Engagement

#HASHTAGS are important, choose carefully.

  • You can use up to 11 Hashtags on every Instagram story
  • Make sure they are relevant to your post 
  • They should be something your target market are searching for
  • Aim for hashtag popularity of 50,000 to 500,000

@MENTIONSTICKERS allows you to tag users within your instagram post.

  • Tag up to 10 users in Instagram story
  • It should be relevant 
  • Good way to get featured in someone else account so they can reshape you story.
  • This feature only works when you are @mentioned in a story
  • When you tag someone they will get a Direct Message saying you have tagged them with blue text asking them to add this to your story, making it clickable which will lead to more traffic.

 

SWIPE-UP is a feature only available for users that have 10,000+ followers plus a business account.

  • You need to post regularly
  • Add links to service, product, blog, post or video
  • Think about what you want your audience to do and simply link to it.
  • If you don’t have Swipe up, add link to your bio of whatever you want them to access.

 

A CALL TO ACTION button should tell your audience exactly what to do. Example

  • Send me a DM
  • Swipe up
  • Visit Bio/latest post
  • Like your latest post
  • Answer a question

With POLLS AND QUESTIONS feature, viewers can type in their response

Questions 

  • Ask what your audience needs
  • Create content that solves their problem
  • Encourage engagement

Polls 

  • Ask yes/no feature to gain insight into what they want to hear/see or what they like/don’t like
  • Gather and use data generated via analytics
